Conventional Pump Systems

We at B&H are proud to be the only local Central Missouri well service to provide well to faucet water systems. We do the work ourselves - we don't subcontract it out!

Most people just want to turn their faucet on and not worry about how it gets there. After the well is drilled, we will have our professional trained pump installers come out and assess the property and find out where the homeowner would like the equipment installed. From there, we will install the pump, drop pope, and wire. We will install a check valve 2O’ above the pump.

We also install rubber boots approximately every 100’ to ensure that when your pump kicks in, it is not bouncing in the drill hole. We will install a pitiless adapter approximately 3’ below grade level. This is where the pipe in your well will be hooked to inside and your water line going to the pressure tank will be installed on the outside of the pitiless. A waterline will run from the well head to pressure tank. All accessories will be hooked up at the and from there your plumber will hook up the lines to the house.

FAQs

  • How do I know if my water pump needs repair or replacement?

Common signs include low water pressure, air sputtering from faucets, dirty or cloudy water, or frequent pump cycling. If you notice these issues, our technicians can diagnose whether a repair or replacement is needed.

  • How long do well pumps typically last?

A quality submersible pump can last 10–15 years with regular maintenance and proper water quality. Surface pumps and jet pumps may have a shorter lifespan depending on use and environment.

  • Do you repair all types of water pumps?

Yes. We service and install all major brands—including Franklin Electric, Baker, and Campbell—and handle residential, agricultural, and commercial systems.

  • What causes a well pump to stop working?

Pump failure can result from electrical issues, low water levels, clogged filters, or worn-out components. Our technicians perform full diagnostics to find the root cause before making repairs.

  • How do I maintain my well after installation?

We recommend an annual inspection for water quality, pump performance, and pressure systems. B&H provides ongoing service and maintenance to keep your well operating efficiently for decades.
